STYLING LACE SUMMER SHORTS FOR A CHIC AND COOL SUMMER OUTFIT

When the weather heats up, you’re left staring at your closet wondering what to wear in order to help you stay cool. While sitting in front of your AC in the good old birthday suit sounds appealing, many of us need to take advantage of the weekend in order to get through all of the errands that pile on during the week. Thus, classic knit staples are key to achieving that no-fuss summer style. A lightweight tank (preferably cotton or linen), paired with lace shorts and kick-ass heels will not only keep you cool and stylish during the hot days but transitions perfectly into the night (because you never know where the day will take you!).  

I recommend sizing up on summer shorts – I personally prefer a slouchy short versus a skintight pair that will suffocate every inch it covers (no one enjoys a hot vajay). Keeping your look simple gives you room to play with pops of color through accessorizing. That’s another reason why I love the summertime, bright colors are always at play, and this time I brought out my Saint Laurent duffel bag to accompany me on my weekend errands.

A colored pair of sunnies to keep the UV’s away is always a nice touch (plus my mom always told me that squinting helps bring about the wrinkles) complemented by a vintage panther ring brings the look together. What you do with your hair is also muy importante; because last I checked frizzy hair has yet to make a comeback. A cute fishtail braid to keep the frizz at bay completes the polished look for your weekend adventures.
