SILK COCKTAIL DRESS AND LEATHER BOMBER

It was blush at first sight. I’ve never been the photogenic type and despite being chief editor of LVG, I’ve always been shy and uncomfortable at the thought of taking pictures in public.

While fashion can’t matter more than the individual; it has been said that a dress or even a pair of shoes can give you that boost of confidence you need. As soon as I spotted this Carolina Herrera cocktail dress; my eyes widened, my jaw dropped and I knew that we were meant to be.

I can almost always tell where a girl is from by her wardrobe. Born and raised in NYC my wardrobe reflects a combination of classic, chic, glam, and edgy staples that tell the story of where I’m from. Fashion is a reflection of your personality and while I respect the soft pink tone and beautiful silk fabric – in order to make this look truly me, I needed to edge it up a bit. So I paired it with what is a closet staple of mine, a black leather jacket that I’ve owned for years and goes with almost anything (you will see this bad boy on repeat).

I felt so pretty in this number that I didn’t care about the passerby’s stopping to stare (Did I mentioned it has pockets?!!!) – I was blushing out of sheer happiness. So while the shutter lens kept flickering my thoughts kept wandering – I have a feeling me and this gown will create many good memories in this city.
